WakeQuest ("we", "our") is a free, ad-supported alarm app. We built it to respect your privacy: WakeQuest has no account system and no server of its own, so the data you create stays on your device.
Your alarm settings, streaks, statistics, preferences and — if you use the Photo mission — the reference photo you set are stored locally on your device only. We never receive or store this data. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
The Photo mission uses your camera so you can match a spot you chose (for example your sink). Photos are processed on your device to compute a small numeric fingerprint used for matching. Your photos are not uploaded, shared, or stored beyond what the mission needs.
The Shake and Workout missions read your device’s accelerometer on your device only. This data is used to complete the mission and is not collected by us.
WakeQuest shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect and process information such as device identifiers, ad interactions and approximate location, as described in Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Ads are never shown on the wake-up or mission screens.
In the European Economic Area and the UK, we ask for your consent before serving personalized ads, and you can change your choice at any time from Profile → Privacy options in the app. You can also limit ad personalization in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking), or remove ads entirely with the one-time in-app purchase.
The optional "Remove ads" purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details.
WakeQuest asks for permissions strictly to function: notifications and exact-alarm / battery permissions so the alarm can ring reliably, camera for the Photo mission, and physical-activity for step-based missions. You can manage these anytime in your device settings.
WakeQuest is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their data.
